Remember to pound them to spread the cement behind to avoid hollow spaces. Use joint less bonding. Keep joints alternate on each row to the top and complete marked area. Brush off cement.

After the feature masonry wall is complete, rake out the bonding horizontal joints. Use a rounded bar of a quarter inch for horizontal key pointing. Remove arising debris and make good floor joint if the wall had commenced from the floor. When this is done give a week and to allow curing. Paint clear vanish in Matt or gloss as desired. For a rustic finish don’t varnish. The method can be repeated for brickwork, rustic tiles, rubble and grano materials.
