How much is a 1963 silver dime graded a PF 68 Ultra Cameo by NGC worth?
It is silver, proof, and a PF 68 Ultra Cameo.
Your coin is worth around $30.00. If you ever decide to sell your coin it may sell easy due to the fact that it was graded by NGC . I saw some coins like yours on eBay that were selling for a higher price, although eBay isn’t the best place to look for values of coins. Hold on to your coin for it’s value may increase more in the future. I hope this helps answer your question.

What should I collect coins?
What should I collect coins?
By Robert L. Taylor, JD
You should collect what you like and enjoy. This is his dream. Design it any way you want.
Never-the-less,. . . decide on foreign currency or U.S. currency, and the evidence or Mint State. If U.S., then decide upon a Denomination: Penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar, dollar or otherwise.
Or, decide on a particular period of history, for example: Morgan Dollars (Lady Liberty, Following the Civil War), Peace Dollars (After the First World War), War Time Cents (Steel and Shell Casing – WWII), War Time Nickels (Silver – WWII), Silver quarters and dimes before 1965 Statehood Quarters, 20th century, 19th Century.
Or decide on a historical figure, Kennedy Half Dollars (Following his death) Lincoln Cents, Washington Quarters, Franklin Half Dollars, Eisenhower Dollars, Susan B. Anthony dollars, Roosevelt dimes, Sacagawea dollars. You can also choose Type Sets, Year Sets, Mint Sets, Proof Sets and Decades.
The next step is to decide on the Quality of the currency you want to collect. Your choices are: a) pocket change, b) rolls of the bank, c) U.S. Mint and test rolls and sets (new and used), d) Purchase of currency and club performances e) Buy on the Internet; f) Buy from coin dealer g) Purchase of currency or magazine ad. Each has its benefits and advantages. Pocket Change and Bank Rolls provide Circulated coins. The House U.S. Currency offers out of circulation "Mint State" and "Proof" coin.
The Internet offers the largest selection of websites private, eg-Coin.Com www.ThePerfect the big auctions like eBay, Yahoo, Heritage and Teletrade. And with the advent of PayPal.com (free) becomes very easy and quick to pay for purchases over the Internet and by telephone.
The one thing that is important in all the above is the grade of the coin, which is closely related to the value (a topic for another article). However, what leads to the following option: Buy slabbed or raw? Raw coins are what you find in the change pocket. Slabbed coins are those who are professionally certified and graded by an independent party. The coin is placed on a slab ", made of plastic, identified, labeled and sealed. It actually has 3 Professional to decide on the extent of a coin. If purchasing raw coins, you need to know how to grade a currency. Even then, are disputes about the degree. When buying a coin slabbed, you know the degree. The Grade is virtually indisputable! All references to price of any resource is based on the classification, which follows the guidelines established by the ANA American Numismatic Association. Currently, there are only four companies are recognized by Strictly following these Guidelines: PCGS, NGC, ICG and ANACS. It is from these professionals, one should buy slabbed coins. Buying slabbed coins is the first rule of serious coin collecting.
It will obviously be very limited in the coming years, mints, and varieties available in pocket change and bank rolls – both are local in nature. Even from these means of collecting, always keep an open mind about other resources. Therefore, little future vision helps improve resource decision will best collections of coins. Most of the collections that cover a wider range of years, pocket change or rolls bank can possibly produce. It is therefore imperative to investigate other resources.
In its general budget, determine the degree of money you can afford afford to pay. MS63-MS65 is an ideal range for the collection, not only by the excellent condition and detail of the coins, greater availability, lower costs, and because in this range of currencies tend to appreciate faster than other grades. No subject is simple and has to do with the quality of the currency or the amount to spend on Coins – for a average currency to a currency outstanding, or a perfect coin. Your budget will usually determine this factor, or how much you can spend per month (per month?) For its new investment. Never doubt that Coin Collecting is an investment. Although it is easy to overlook the amount of time devoted to this task, since two of the main ingredients are pleasure and enjoyment. Confucius says:
"If you like what you're doing, you will not work another day in your life."
Think it as a background. You trade money. . . The money grows and gives a pleasure! Properly cared for, this fund could quite possibly put someone through college.
Finally, decide whether to collect all the coins in his group, including varieties and errors, or just regular issue the coins. Errors and Varieties can be very expensive and hard to find. Most people avoid them.
This concept of exchanging money for money "is very important because Most people avoid spending a little more just to get the best. And I'm talking about the best quality of the coin, regardless of grade or price. In other words, have a coin with the degree that is supposed to have. This is the only way to be sure of the value of the currency. Spend your money wisely. Get what you pay for. To become a professional in the classification, based on the professional grade. Whether you choose to collect proof Kennedy Half Dollars, or Jefferson Nickels from pocket change, thanks to the Internet, you will find a wide variety available in many different sites to give their efforts a boost Coin Collecting. Internet Web sites will change to always Coin Collecting! Why? Because Top Quality Coins can be easily bought and sold by any body – because they are slabbed!
Know always your grade!
